Uni.lu’s high performance scores

U-Multirank, a European Commission initiative to rank the performance of higher education and research institutes, continues to give high scores to the University of Luxembourg in its 2022 ranking.

The University of Luxembourg maintains high ratings in several categories of the U-Multirank, an initiative funded by the European Commission aiming to compare the performances of higher education and research institutions.

About U-Multirank

U-Multirank 2022 evaluated 2,202 universities from 96 countries worldwide. While traditional global rankings focus mainly on 400-500 of the world’s research universities (only about 2-3 per cent of the world’s higher education institutions), U-Multirank covers a far broader range including small, specialised colleges, art and music academies, technical universities, agricultural universities, universities of applied sciences as well as comprehensive research universities and others.

The ranking uses a multi-dimensional approach that compares the performance of universities in the five dimensions of university activity: (1) teaching and learning, (2) research, (3) knowledge transfer, (4) international orientation and (5) regional engagement – grading each of them from A (very good) to E (weak).

U-Multirank 2022 ranking is based on data from the academic year 2020-2021 and from the calendar year 2020.
