Luxembourg’s national research and innovation strategy is quite clear when it comes to priorities: four research areas of particular importance for the societal, ecological, and economic development of the country have emerged:

Following the principle of interdisciplinary research, these four priority areas mutually feed into each other. The day-to-day implementation of the research strategy therefore places particular emphasis on projects that take into account these areas.

In order to bring “impact research” to life, focussing on the four priority research areas ensures that Luxembourg can achieve continuous and sustainable development of the well-being of its population, including health, environment and education factors.
